In September the Monticello Theater Association will present the drama Witness for the Prosecution, by Agatha Christie, directed by Leonard Rumery. Auditions will be held on Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7, noon to 5:00 each day, with callbacks Monday, July 8, from 7:00-9:00, if needed. If you are unable to audition during these times, leave a message at the Theater. Readings will be supplied. All auditions will be at the Monticello Theatre, 1406 N. Market Street, Monticello.
There are parts for men and women 18 and over. One female role has the requirement of a German accent and one other accent that would be likely in New York (Southern, Spanish, Bronx, etc). One other female role requires Scottish or Irish accent. No other accents are needed. There are several non-speaking parts, so if you want to see what it’s like to be onstage, this is your chance. The rehearsals will be four weeknights each week, beginning August 5, with performances beginning September 20 for two weekends.
